Hi All! Just wanted to let you know I am doing FREE sessions for Military families through Christmas. If you know someone out there that has a spouse that is deployed and wants photos of theirself with their kids or just pics of the kids I want to shoot them! Not only will I be doing the session free but I'll also be making a show of the images (if they want me to ) to share with them overseas. Holidays are an even tougher time four our service Men and Women and I would love to give them amazing art of their family to make their holiday a little brighter. Spread the word and tell them to call me asap, I'll take good care of them, but then again you already knew that right!

Thanks Friends!

Haley and Tim in Charleston SC

This post will be a special one!  Haley and Tim became friends of mine about 4 years ago when Haley called and asked me to shoot some images of Her and Tim before Tim was sent for a tour of duty in Iraq.  We had the best time together shooting at Miami university where they met.  We shot well into the dark all around campus and downtown. It was one of the best sessions I've ever had.  When we finished I knew I had met friends that night and I remember telling Tim to come back safe and call me when they got engaged because I would love be there for them at their wedding.  Three years later I get a call out of the blue:  "Hi Nick, this is Haley.  Do you remember me and Tim?"  Of course!!  How could I forget! She went on to tell me they had gotten engaged and would love to have me at their wedding in Charleston.  She was a little worried that we might not travel but I told her we had shot several weddings in SC and we wouldn't miss it for the world!

The following is special a personal note from Father of the Bride Bob Bowers.

Thank  You…

For the second time in the last four years we are honored and privileged to hand off our daughter to a better man.  Before you view the pictures from that wonderful weekend we want to thank everyone involved with the wedding.  Our guests traveled a long way whether flying or taking that Highway 20 ride and your attendance made this event great.  We thank you for being there and for making this occasion memorable.

Our thanks go to the family and friends who hosted events like the Cincinnati and Atlanta showers and the Bridal Party brunch.  These were special times enjoyed with Tim and Haley and spent with the best of friends and family.  We also want to thank all who planned and hosted the Wedding Party cocktail get together in Isle of Palms Thursday night.  The evening with TJ and Haley’s crowd was the break we all needed.

Next we’d like to express our gratitude to Tim’s family for the incredible Charleston Harbor rehearsal dinner aboard The Carolina Girl.  The bar was set exceedingly high that Friday night as the pictures show.  The food, the music and the cruise made for an incredible night.

Finally, I would like to recognize my wife and daughters for their years long planning and execution of this celebration.  They somehow managed to meet the challenge and deliver a reception second to none.  On the heels of these other events that was a nearly impossible task.  The 808 Photography team captured literally every frame of the wedding weekend which is an amazing feat so enjoy the memories and let’s salute this Miami Merger with a “HOAH” and a “Who Dey”.

This one will always be "the" shot that comes to mind when I think of Haley and Tim.  These steps are at the foot of the US Customs house in downtown Charleston and it was one spot Blake and I wanted to hit and luckily we squeezed it in on our way to th ceremony cause we got some of my favoties there including the image of Haley below.  I remember telling Tim when he gets a desk, this was the 5x7 that he was going to print to put on it!

You can tell family and friends are everything to Haley and Tim.  This wedding was certainly a testament to their bonds with them, one groomsmen took leave from Afghanistan and everyone we talked to had traveled several hours to be there.  The entire weekend there was a feeling in the air that everyone was excited to be there, was really having fun and knew they were in the middle of what would be a legendary weekend.  Blake and I certainly felt that way and we were so thankful to be there with everyone to see such an amazing couple become one!  Check out their movie on YouTube below and view all their images on our site here.  If you have an iPhone, Pad or iPod you can download their app by clicking this link from your device, there is a share link at the bottom of the app that will allow you to email your friends.  Thanks Haley and Tim!  We loved every minute of working with you, your families and your friends.  We hope to get to see you all again soon! -Nick & Blake

Best end of night shot EVER! :)

Shelly and Jake's E-Session here in Lebanon

Shelly and Jake's wedding is right around the corner!  Jake lives right around the corner from the studio so we were shooting in his back yard, definitely the most local shots I've done all year.  Glad we were able to get together and shoot a bit before their big day at Polen Farm.  Have fun Guys! -Nick

Thank You.

I've been spending the weekend working, and I'm glad.  I certainly miss the time with my family, I'm just glad I have the opportunity to do what I love in the greatest nation on earth.  The whole reason I get to do what I love is that Millions of Men and women from My generation and many generations past have served this amazing country and sacrificed so much to ensure we all enjoy our freedoms and the choice to be who we want to be.  I'm writing this as a thank you to all my family, Most notably my Fathers Jim O'Donnell and Ed Burns who served during the Vietnam war, and Ben my brother who served in the Army.  Also to all the friends I've made over the years through the studio.  Tim Wolfe who's wedding we just shot served in Iraq and several of his friends have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Deirdre and Dan's brother was in Afganistan the day of their wedding and called at 3am local time to say "Hi." Jackie and Justin's brother is still serving in the Army but looks to be home soon.  Niki and Kenny's wedding last June was one of my favorites.  Nearly all of his groomsmen, Niki's Father and Brother, and several wedding attendants had served or were currently serving.  Their movie is below.  I'm so thankful for each and everyone one of you I have met and worked with over the years.  I am so proud of you and I am glad to call you my friends. Thank you!

Lauren and Steve in Minster

What an awesome wedding!  Blake, Kevin (DJ KevyKev) and I headed up to Minster on the 12th for Lauren and Steve's wedding.  Lauren and Steve met us at MAry and Matt's wedding last October.  We must have talked for a half hour about working with them while we were there so it's been since then that we've been looking forward to our trip to Minster to shoot.  Now if you know Minster you might think it's not the ideal place for cool places to shoot, I disagree!  We just come up about an hour early and must have spent half that time looking for the "old mill" which I thought was some cool old abandoned warehouse/factory spot that we could find some rust at. It wasn't 'til right before we got to the church that I saw the bar called "the Old Mill" found the spots you see and I have to say I'm exstatic to see the results.  I have to give a huge thanks to everyone we worked with, from the Groomsmen and the Bridesmaids (Hi Kate!  Nice to meet you!!) and especially the families.  I loved working with you all, we just loved everyone and it's not too often that happens.  And how awesome was that food!!  I'm predicting it's the best food of the year, the cake was killer too! Thanks Lauren and Steve!  I'm so, so, so glad you're friends with Mary and Matt and came to their wedding so we could meet, just made the 12th of May way awesome for us!!  Click here to view all the images online, and check out the show below or on YouTube. iPhone, iPad, iPod users click here to dowmload their custom app, use the link at the bottom in the app to share! -Nick

Lauren and Steven's E-Session in Dayton

What a great couple to start off E-Session Mania over the next Month, I have a session nearly every night of the week through May. Lauren and Steven are friends of one of my favorite couples from last year, Mary and Matt who I'm told is about to have a baby! We got together for some shooting and a couple drinks after to go over all the plans for the day, I think we laughed the whole time. I'm really looking forward to it, mostly cause the biggest thing I took away from the meeting was they just want to have fun and enjoy themselves, My kinda couple! -Nick
